Tetrapods

In this puzzle game, your goal is to help curious creatures called Tetrapods. While they live a peaceful and harmonious life, they get sad when they are misunderstood. 

You see, Tetrapods come in one of two varieties: Trupods, which are always honest, and Faupods, which never say the truth. Please don't hold it against the Faupods - they were simple born this way, and still desire love like the trupods.

Whenever a new visitor comes to their island, they do their best to make their identities known. Given that each tetrapod has 4 tentacles, the first thing they do is say the number of Faupods in the 4 cardinal directions from their location.
